I have created several VCDs with MemoriesOnTv. I recently got a new PC so moved all my files but I decided to use a different directory structure. Now I can't edit the .ptv files because MemoriesOnTv can't find the pictures ( they are not in the same path anymore) so it opens a bunch of empty albums.
I tried to edit the .ptv file with an Hexadecimal editor and change the paths manually. However this only works if the modified file has the same size as the original. If the size changes then MOTV can't even open the file.
Does anyone know of a workaround to this problem?
I'd appreciate any suggestion.
thanks

Uhmm ...interesting , with so many users of MOTV and no one has ever had this problem?
I'd like to know at least that I'm not alone, not that it will help but...
Anyone? -
Only just seen your 4-month old post. I had exactly same problem. Even tried your solution of editing the PTVs - in vain! I'm now very cautious about changing filenames or paths, which is what I'd cheerfully been doing. Eventually, for those that I'd 'lost', I slogged through dragging them all back in. But I did also moderate the pain a little by using renamer utilities to revert names back where possible.
Changing subject - do you have the latest version of MoTm 2.2? I've happily been using 2.2.1 beta, but cannot get 2.2 working. And beta is now expired, so I'm in trouble. No help from CodeJam.

I'm now convinced there's no workaround
I have version 2.1.4 and I'm not planing to use it anymore because of the mentioned problem (file names). I feel like trying something else, something that will allow me to relocate my files. I'm ready to try Ulead VideoStudio for my next home DVD (that will include both pictures and videos).
Sorry I can't help
cheers -
Can you recreate the directory structure just enough to open the files, then shift things back. You could use DaemonTools to create a virtual drive if you needed to create have a different partition for the path.
