  1. ok, here is the story.

My mate done a video on me camera, so I put it onto a dvd using my standalone (goodmans) dvd player. I put the files onto a DVD+RW disc (TDK) (which I also tried with 2 discs) and I then played it on my Standalone DVD player, and it works fine.

When I put it in my computer, again it works fine. I can also browse the Video_ts folder and watch the vob's in here.

Now the problem I am having is when I open TMPGenc, and try and import a DVD into it, for editing the files, It pops up, and there are no files to select. It lets me choose the video_ts folder, but it has no files in it. I also tried drag and drop, but it says they aint compatible files.

I know I need mpg 2, but with other DVD's I am able to just select the files from the video_ts folder this way. Is this because I aint doing something right on my STandalone DVD recorder, as its happened before with some things I recorded from the TV, they work on the disc, b ut when I try and put them in via TMPGenc DVD author it just doesnt work

Any help on this would be great

    Watson

Don't have a solution but when I'm working with vob's I use DVD Decrypter to rip and convert to mpeg.

Is the disc from the standalone finalized? I'm not sure if it matters, but it looks like your getting that error on every sector.

    Try VirtualDub-MPEG2 or VirtualDubMod.

Can you copy the files to your HD using Windows Explorer?

  7. I didnt finalize the disc, but I have done with others and it didnt work with them finalized. I will try it again though.

And Darell, no none of the many discs I have tried let me copy the files to the hdd, using windows exporer, or a program, like clonedvd2 or alcohol 120%
