  1. Hello Everyone,

I have a DVD clip which is 183MB in isze. I need to convert the clip to a much smaller file and play the clip in Quick Time and Windows Media.

What tools will I need to accomplish this?

    thanks,

  2. Thanks for your reply.

I read the description of the tool but it doesn't mentioned that this tool converts to MOV or WAV. I know quickTime can play AVI files but I really need this file to playable on Windows Media Player.

    Thanks in advanced,

If you need it playable in WMP then you DO NOT want it MOV, you want an AVI of some form. If you need one file that is small, and will play in either player, then I'd suggest mpeg-1 for output. It's light, universal, and will play by default in both players - no codec issues.

  5. WAV is audio. MOV is Quicktime video.
    What exactly are you wanting?
You say "DVD clip". Do you mean an mpg, or what?
WMP can play avi, which is what AutoGK outputs.
Have you read ANY of the guides?
