    Hello,

    I'll try to explain the problem:

    1-I have a still menu created with dvd menu studio, that's to say, two files: a jpg image and other one with the subpictures for the buttons.

    2-If I put these files into Scenarist I can see that the subpictures fit perfectly, as usual.

    3. Now, if I import the jpg image into Vegas in order to create effects and a motion menu, at the end the subpictures don't fit.

    That's easy to see from the begining because when I import the jpg I can notice that it doesn't fit perfectly in the preview window (configured like that: Project 720 x 576 x 36), it has one millimeter less at the left side and one millimeter less at the right. That's why at the end, after rendering and trying the m2v in Scenarist, the subpictures don't fit well.

    Please, is there a solution for that? I worked the whole day in that project of mine and now I'm sort of desperate.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. Have you tried asking this question in the Vegas forum? Seems to me that would be the place toask to get a quicker answer.

    Right click on the JPG image in the timeline and under properties > media, change its pixel aspect ratio from 1.000 (Square) to 1.0926 (PAL DV) or 1.4568 (PAL DV Widescreen). I'm pretty sure this will sort out your problem.

    You can try to see if the aspect ratio is the problem. Click on the Event Pan/Crop button on your video clip and see if "Maintain Aspect Ratio" is checked and uncheck it. I found this to be the problem when I imported bmps and jpgs into Vegas.

    2 suggestions here...
    1) Why don't you forget that menu and redo everything in Vegas?
    2)Do as the user above has just stated:
    Important: before all the following steps go to the menu bar and select File and then, Properties...What resolution are you setting for this project????
    - mouse-right-click on the file and select properties for the file as RichieV has said;
    - look at the file in the timeline; you'll notice a white square on it, mouse-left-click; Pan/Crop will open a screen, mouse-right-click and select Maintain Aspect Ratio.

    Thanks everybody. Unchecking "main aspect ratio" solved the problem"
