I have DirecTV and have a PVR-150MCE on the way. I don't have a jack in the room my workstation is in. What I'd like to do is split the TV-Out signal from my DirecTV box to a TV in the room next to my computer room and run a long, approximately 50ft, coaxial or RCA cable to my caputre card when it arrives. Does anybody know if this is possible? I figure I'll be limited to watching the channel that I'm trying to capture from, but that's not a bother. I plan, if it works, to use high quality RCA cables if I can find them that long. If I capture at the highest quality available (I don't know what options I have since I don't have the card yet), would I see that much of a difference between coaxial, which I have about 100ft left over, and RCA, which will probably cost me a small fortune to buy that long?

    P.S.:
I did search, and came across this:

But it doesn't really answer the question

Thanks LS. By the way, do you have any experience with the PVR-150 or the MCE? I don't have Win MCE, I'm using XP 64 bit. I'm guessing that without Windows Media Center, it's pretty much a regular 150, in terms of functionality. Are the captures good? I realize I'm not getting the quality of professional DVD, but is it better to cap directly from the satellite signal or TIVO it, and then cap from that? Hacking the TIVO box doesn't scare, we similar stuff at work all the time. I have looked at several forums regarding the PVR-150 and customer reviews from sites, but they seem like the average person's (ability-wise), but you seem to be the resident expert on this site and many other. I appreciate your time.
