XviD and DivX are video codecs, and has nothing to do with audio problems. TMPGEnc has problems with VBR MP3 and AC3 mostly - what audio codec is used in the AVIs? If AC3, AC3 Filter might help.

If it is VBR MP3 audio, extract the audio using http://members.dodo.net.au/~jimmalenko/ExtractAudio.htm - when you go to save the WAV file, you should be able to tick the box so that it adds the job to the batch job list isntead of running immediately. Then you can queue up all 25 eps, and just hit start in the Job Control list when you're done and let it do it's thing.
If in doubt, Google it.
