Anybody know why TPMGEnc 3.0 is so slow at interlacing? Given the same source file, TMPGEnc 2.5 will take the same amount of time for leaving it progressive and interlacing it, while 3.0 takes a comparable amount of time to leave it progrressive and over twice as long to interlace it.
...why?

Most likely a result of a change in the program itself. Not everything gets faster with a newer version.
