  1. i have some mp4 files (which were m4a/aac and just renamed) form my ipod that i need to convert to mp3 format, any suggestions, i dont have that many so free method if possable

  2. problem solved nero6 actually does it, well lets me go to wav at least and is easy from there

    I believe it lets you convert straight to mp3...
    (if you have the mp3 plugin)

    cool i have the same question, and instead of double posting, so u mind if i join the party. ok so nero does it, when u say MP3 plugin, do u mean the LAME one?

  5. It's never a good idea to compress an audio file that's already been compressed, but do what you'd like.

    It's also a good idea that if you ever share these files with anyone that you let them know they've been compressed from a lossy source. (assuming they are not copyrighted of course )
