  1. Hi,

I have an mp4 player which supports video.

It works fine but the videos converted by the supplied converter have a very bad quality.

So I try to convert one manually with vdub and now I get a good quality. But the player refuse my video => Error: wrong format.

I used the same settings (Xvid for video from ffdshow) and mp3 for audio.

Here is a screenshot of the file created by the converted and the one created by virtualdub.

Video created by the supplied converter:

Video created by myself with vdub which is not accepted by the player:

What setting may be wrong in virtualdub ??????

Maybe it doesn't support 24000Hz audio. Try 44khz.

But mp4 players may be very picky...it could also be the avi container format, avi 1 and avi 2.

Also change audio format to mpeg-1 layer2.
