What is best media for Panasonic DMR e55

Hello folks I have been here off and on for the past couple of years and know quite a bit about media and such and the quality issues and such with different things. I know that Taiyo Yuden, and Japan media is the best to get at least to most people that are on the boards. I know that Lordsmurf knows quite a bit about media and such and I have been using Ritek G04 1-4x media for a year but swithced to Taiyo Yuden media when I read reports that Ritek was slipping in the quality of there media and did not want to risk having the problems with them. Ok the quesion I have to ask what is the best media I can use with good results with the Panasonic dmr e55 recorder. I started to use Ritek G04 and they worked excellent with not a problem what so ever. But I switched to Taiyo Yuden 1-8x media silver finish and I got it from supermediastore and they are real and not fake and I had some good burns with them at first but then all of a sudden I have been having coastsers left and right with them. They would record fine and finalize but when i went to check them on my computer they would have read errors that would not correct and this has me worried. I have many discs to do over and some are good and will be ok but many are junk and will not be able to copy or anything. Can anyone who has a Panasonic dmr e55 or other model let me know if you have had any problems like this with Taiyo Yuden media or should I use something else. Please let me know before I get back to remaking them. thanks for any help.

I prefer Accu media myself, but TY should work.

I noticed there is a firmware update for your recorder. Wonder if that might solve the problem. I do not think it will hurt.
