    Hi,

I convert DVDs to Divx with Dr DivX for easy storage. When the film is over 2 hours long, I set Dr Divx to produce 2 equal size files but:
sometimes, one of the resulting files is corrupted. When I try to copy-paste, cut-paste or burn it onto a DVD I get a 'cyclic redundancy error' message_ although the divX file is perfectly watchable on the PC, I can't do anything else with it than play it: it acts like a read-only file would do.
Is there a software that scans DivX files for errors and repairs them?

I believe VirtualDub will scan for errors.

  3. I haven't used it in the longest time, but I believe DivFix also scans for and corrects errors.
