  1. When I open an IfoEdit generated DVD folder in Nero Showtime, it just displays a black screen, not playing anything. When I mount it as a network drive and play it in IfoEdit, it only plays the sound, with no picture. Other DVDs play fine.

I believe I saw on this site that IFOEDIT makes non-standard DVD files, or was this only with NTSC material??? Just an idea.

They're compliant enough for PowerDVD to play them, and for Nero to burn them, and for my 2 set-tops to play them <shrug>
    If in doubt, Google it.

  6. I have another weird problem. I authored the DVD with DVDAuthorGUI, and this is what happens when I play it:

Nero Showtime: It plays two seconds (properly) and crashes.
WMP and IfoEdit: It plays with only sound, no picture, but if I seek to a different point it will display the image in the top-left quarter of the window, and the rest of the window is green.

I'd be fairly confident that it's something to do with your machine in playback or your source, and not with IFOEdit or DVDAuthorGUI.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  8. I don't know. The .mpg file plays fine. I will try burning then.

  9. It worked in my standalone player, thanks

The mpg is DVD compliant as far as I know.
