Been using dvdshrink and decryptor for awhile now. Then came across dvd stripper which I thought was cool, if I had a dvd9 that was too big to shrink but I wanted to keep the menus I could just remove trailers, & extras, then rebuild and shrink if need be. I know dvd stripper is out dated and no longer supported. What do you recommend I use in place of stripper?

  4. DvdReMake is not free, but worth it if you are "ReMaking" DVDs. Try the demo, its free.

Demo is functional except that it only exports a small portion of each chapter in movie for test purposes. I find DvdReMake the best tool for finding and get rid of unwanted stuff on a DVD.

Using other removal tools, its very time consuming to find a specific small clip with leading blank cells. With DRM you can scroll quickly across all the blocks in a VTS or (cells in a PGC) to visually locate the desired clip, then two mouse clicks and its gone. Its harder to describe than it is to do. Then Export it, shrink it and burn it.

DvdReMake V3 Pro demo is available here:

Vobblanker, or PgcEdit will do the trick. Vobblanker will actually reclaim the space (by modifying the VOB files), while PgcEdit will simply skip the playback (unless you're blanking a complete VTS, in which case it will replace it with a small 10K file). Both have previews so it's easy to see what you blank.
PgcEdit even has a "trace" so you can play your DVD and blank things as you go.
    Both programs are actively supported!

MenuShrink a free tool to shrink menus into stills with or without audio!
DVDSubEdit: a free tool to modify your subtitles directly inside the vob.
