I have version 2.9.8.3 of DVDFab Express on my computer.

    Is there a newer version?

I keep seeing references to a version 3.0.5.5 , but, I never been able to find it. Letalone download it.

If there is one, and I don't mean the Platinum/Gold/HD Decrypter versions (there crap ), does anyone know where to download it?

express was killed off a couple years ago. now you probably want the platinum version. - "DVDFab Platinum is all you need to backup your DVDs. It combines the one-click convenience of DVDFab Express with the power of DVDFab Gold."

    up to version 5.0.something

Let me clear up that point.

Early this year I tried using DVDFab Platinum/Gold on my Windows 98 computer and every time (no matter what version) all I got was the "caused an illegal...." pop-up.

In fact I posted my problems with this in this forum before.

I was just hopeing that there was some way of downloading the final free version of DVDFab Express.

It seems I'll have to wait till I get Windows XP.

    THanks for the help.

  6. Which version of Win98?

    I've used DVDFab Decrypter v. 2.x, 3.x, 4.x, and now the new 5.x on a Win98SE machine without difficulty.

The output from this free version can then be processed by DVDShrink as necessary.

Your "there [sic] crap" comment perhaps applies only to the experience with your particular computer configuration, or you may need to upgrade to at least W98SE if you're running the original W98.
