    As far as I know these are the only ones to play the Mpeg 4 codec. I assume Divx/Xvid.

    RJTech makes some. Never owned RJTech DVD video recorder, but has their first DVD/PMEG-4 player (RJ-4000) and still very happy with. I'd like to believe that their DVD recorders are the same in quality and do their job well as advertized.
