  1. HI,
I have a big time problem with TMPGEnce that I've never had before. Whenever I load a DiVX movie into the program, it always says that the movie is around 3-4 hours long when it's really just 1.5 hours long. This happens, I think, EVERY TIME! this is bad because it makes movies that are 4 hours long, 4 gb big, and sometimes without sound. Can someone please tell me how to make it realize that TRUE movie's time??

Have you tried the latest version of TMPGEnc?

  3. Check your codec(s) -- you might have a buggy version of DivX 4 or something --- I think I remember seeing people have this problem if they have the Angelpotion codec installed.

make sure your DivX is the latest (uninstall the previous one's first) - that might help

  4. The framrate of the original AVI is most likely high..

Try extracting the audio from the AVI with Virtualdub and then converting the AVI to MPG using the separate audiotrack.
