HI,
I have a big time problem with TMPGEnce that I've never had before. Whenever I load a DiVX movie into the program, it always says that the movie is around 3-4 hours long when it's really just 1.5 hours long. This happens, I think, EVERY TIME! this is bad because it makes movies that are 4 hours long, 4 gb big, and sometimes without sound. Can someone please tell me how to make it realize that TRUE movie's time??

Have you tried the latest version of TMPGEnc?
I only dream in black & white...

Check your codec(s) -- you might have a buggy version of DivX 4 or something --- I think I remember seeing people have this problem if they have the Angelpotion codec installed.
make sure your DivX is the latest (uninstall the previous one's first) - that might help -
The framrate of the original AVI is most likely high..
Try extracting the audio from the AVI with Virtualdub and then converting the AVI to MPG using the separate audiotrack. -
I had the same problems for some og my movies. What I did was the same thing when CCE did'nt reconise my movies. In virtualDub choose save old format avi.. It did the trick for me
