  1. Is there a way so the Pioneer 520h menu does not show when finalizeing the disc, i mean when it is played in someone elses DVD Player and they press the menu button will the naff Pioneer menu be shown or is there a way to not show it.

    Well, Take an authoring app like TMPGEnc DVD Author. Import DVD Video. Select menu style and options. Burn a new DVD.
    But in all honesty - that procedure somehow goes against all that DVD recorders is all about - a simple tool for recording and creating DVDs. You'd be better off with a computer capture card if you want anything else.

    You want the Pioneer to create another kind of menu? Or what do you want the DVD to show when you press "Menu" on the player? I doubt it's possible to change this, if someone haven't made a serious firmware hack for it...
    Or am I misunderstanding you completely?

  6. The pioneer 520h has a menu recorded onto it when finalizind a dvd-r, i do not want/like the menu.

    So - again - reauthor the DVD. That's the only way. It might be possible to turn off the menu completely (see your users manual), but (without any other evidence than my gut feeling - maybe some other 520h owner can pitch in?) I seriously suspect even that is not possible. And what good is a multi title DVD without menu?
