It really depends on what type of effects you're looking to achieve.

You can create text layers (using the Adobe Title Designer) -- and then animate the layers (or individual characters) in a variety of ways, including:

    1. Motion
    2. Scale
    3. Rotation
    4. Transparency

You should be able to achieve some cool "effects" but it's certainly not as sophisticated as Adobe After Effects. But then After Effects costs another small fortune, so if you don't have it, be happy that Premiere Pro can already do lots.

As for the "HOW", all of these topics are easily referenced in the user guide. It'll provide you with an excellent overview.

If you have any specific questions after that, then fire away!

    Hi mckc86,

Take a look at Bluff Titler - That might help with what you want to do.
There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

    Carpe diem.

    TIA

I used to use it years ago, it was slow at rendering and the effects can be seen all over the net, meaning, I like aps that create a unique effect. Like the one you just posted.

I just spot things in the forums as people recommend them. I also trawl through the "Tools" section every now and again to see if anything catches my eye...

I've a number of free plugins that I've found and use in Premiere 6.0 - I guess they'll work in Premiere Pro.

I've made a note to myself to let you know what they are... It won't be imminent coz of work and personal commitments - maybe the next couple of weeks...

I'll post in this thread as it's loosely related...

dood.. this ap creates effects on a transparent layer.. wow, this is cool, also it exports to 29.97 NTSC AVI, sweet and easy for premiere pro to edit on, also.. it will look like it is over the image below it, because it is on a transparent layer... very cool indeed.. bot imma have fun with this. lol In fact that should be marketed towards Premiere users. But yeah mckc86, that is exactly what you need.

ok then very cool. Tell you what, we need to start a thread on add ons/plug-ins so we can develope a group for tool collectors of premiere pro addons and such.. maybe the mods will think its too broad.. but searching the tools for ppro addons is not easy.. this would be fast and it seems more and more people are starting to use Premiere Pro.. So I think just limit to addons and plugins?
