i know many cards out there are using winbond chipset
but....
are there any difference in the quality??
most of the cards with winbond chipset are quite cheap.
i have one with this chip
but its quality is not very good
is PV-231 real-time VCD PCI video/audio capture card a good choice??
but it also uses winbond
i d/l a sample from kittelsen
its quality is soooooo good(compare to my card)
so.....any other good choice then??

Which card do you currently have? Have you tried the registry settings from Skittleson yet? Just about every card I've looked at the software from (based on the winbond) all use the same basic software. I'm assuming winbond includes the software as a reference design, and the various companies package it with thier card with slight mods. All the packages I've seen are a flavor of "MPEG-I" and share the same registry settings. Could give that a try.
