    Folks,

Is there a better programme than DIVXTODVD to convert MPEG & AVI into VSO files for burning onto DVD?

Before downloading the programme which I followed via links here, it appears that this was a simple to use programme ( it is ), but I'm finding the end result pixelates in places ... it's also painfully slow.

Is there an alternative programme I can use which is as simplistic as this one?

    Cheers !

Explain painfully slow ? A 90 minute AVI in under an hour is far faster than any other mpeg2 encoder.

If you wan't the best quality you can get from your average quality source (and let's face it, Divx and Xvid downloads are average quality), the learn a avisynth, get a decent encoder, and go from there. Cheapest would be tmpgenc and tmpgenc DVD Author. But if you think DivxtoDVD is painfully slow, wait till you use tmpgenc !
