nero recode makes dvd that locks player

I occasionally have a problem with nero making a disk the locks up my dvd player when it starts to boot up. The disk plays fine in my DVD rom drive.

If i use intervideo dvd copy or x-copy,using the same rip, the burn is fine.

The nero folks tell me to run the cleaner then re-install. Not sure what that will accomplish since this doesnt occur all the time. I use quality media too.

anyone else have the same issue?

Try using something else like DVDDecryter and dvdshrink.

Did you try the suggestion that Nero said? Sometimes it is important to completely clean out the old program before updating to the newer version. I found this with the latest update of Nero's Recode. I installed the update without using the cleaner. I couldn't get it to work at all. After using the cleaner and then re-installing, it works fine.
