Cheap Dvd Player that displays Closed Captions : Need advice

Hi

Can anyone recommend me a cheap Dvd Player that shows/displays Closed Captions ?

I have an Apex but they won't display closed captions.

I have a WalMart $50.00 voucher ... suggestions please ...

Yeah, Apex doesn't show them, but I called apex once about it & they offered me another model. I don't know why since none of their models have CC's.....that was a few years ago.

Today, any dvd player should show captions. If not, take it back for another model.

I'm pretty sure Walmart has the Cyberhome model AD-300 (IIRC), that is a great little machine (although not tops in video quality, esp chroma). I have one at home, plan to get another one or two. Cost ~$38.00US. It should have CC. Take a disc, or ask a salesperson to put in a disc that is known to have CC. Make sure you engage CC display on the TV (as that's really where the decoder resides--DVD player should just pass thru).
