question about how to display closed captions in KM player

I have a DVD which has closed captions subtitles but does not have any regular subtitles. I was looking for a software player that would display the closed caption subtitles. I found that Power DVD will display the closed caption subtitles. Also, I read that KM Player would display closed caption subtitles. I downloaded KM player 2.9.3.1214. According to the changelog, this software should display closed caption subtitles. The directions to do this are in the changlog and are as follows: The text data of Closed Caption in .VOB can be displayed by enabling the option "Read a closed caption data as a text subtitles" in preferences>subtitles processing> Multiple Languages>Advanced.
However, I tried this and anything else I could think of and couldn't get the subtitles to appear in the KM Player. Question oes anybody know why? How can I get the closed captions to appear when using KM Player?[/i]
