I have 15 DVDs that I need to get stuff off of to construct a new DVD.
Someone told me to use the Womble program to just import the VOB and export the segments I need to MPEG. This worked for a good amount of the DVDs. However, some of them are getting exported out of sync - why is this? I need to have a mpeg program stream (video and mpeg audio) so that I can open it up on the vegas timeline. Is there any other way to get a segment of a VOB off and convert that audio stream to mpeg audio? It was originally ac3 and we all know that vegas can't open an ac3 file... I hope I made sense here...

you can use dgindex or dvd2avi and you can convert the audio part directly to wav.
