I use dvd43 for the compy protection on to backup my dvd's. And when you put in a dvd then put the cursor on the smiley face in the task bar it says something like 1/1 dvd found. But on my parents computer it says 1/2 dvd found and when I try to back it up it says it cant because its copyrighted. I use to work but now it wont, whats wrong? I have uninstalled and reinstalled but still nothing.

which app are you using to back the dvd up?

I use nero. It works fine on my computer and always worked on my parents untill all of a sudden. And I noticed the icon on mine says 1/1 dvd found, or something like that. And my parents says 1/2. Its like my parents is only finding 1/2 of whatever its looking for.

Get AnyDvd this should solve the problem.

AnyDVD costs $40. DVD43Free works fine just started messing up on my parenbts computer all of a sudden. I dont want to change I want to know how to fix the problem and whats wrong.

are you using the latest version of DVD43?

Sounds like your parent's computer has more than one DVD-Rom drive while your's only has one. I'm just guess here. What you may want to do is verify that DVD43 is looking at the correct DVD-Rom drive.

We both have 2 dvd drives each. I fixed the problem, I updated her dvd43 software. Thanks for helping smearbrick1 and clairew since you were the only ones who offered actual help. Everyone else just offered a crap alternative.

Get DVD Decrypter. It works too and its free

why get dvd decrypter when i can used dvd43 and recode and burn with one program, nero. Point is its fixed now. someone needs to close the thread.
