I've downloaded a number of offline browsing utilities and none of them seem to work. It may be that I need to set up a proxy connection but I can't figure out what it would be. I use comcast cable and have my computer networked via a router over a LAN. All the programs I've downloaded either time-out or give me some other error. I know that it can't be the programs, so what's wrong with my computer?
Thanks,
-Jonathan.

Not that I'm going to be much help here but offline browsing of what? its a generic term used for email, web, usenet... lots of things.
I assume web, if so I'm not much help because I haven't tried before, but the idea of needing a proxy doesn't sound right. -
Only time I've ever done that I used Teleport Pro, its kinda pricey but quite awesome.
