  1. I've downloaded a number of offline browsing utilities and none of them seem to work. It may be that I need to set up a proxy connection but I can't figure out what it would be. I use comcast cable and have my computer networked via a router over a LAN. All the programs I've downloaded either time-out or give me some other error. I know that it can't be the programs, so what's wrong with my computer?

    Thanks,
    -Jonathan.

PS: If you need more details, please ask.

Not that I'm going to be much help here but offline browsing of what? its a generic term used for email, web, usenet... lots of things.

I assume web, if so I'm not much help because I haven't tried before, but the idea of needing a proxy doesn't sound right.

I'm not going to buy it, but I tried the trialware version of Teleport Ultra, and I can't seem to get it work. It's the same with all the others utilities I've tried.

Maybe the site in question is doing something to foil it.

I've tried multiple sites with multiple programs and it's still no go.

Well I can tell ya if your using Teleport that it does not use a proxy of any sort. It just needs the right settings and its off.

Give me a site that you know works with Teleport, and I'll try it.
