I recently bought TMPGEnc Xpress 3.1.5.82.
Does this program need to be installed on the MCE 2005 pc for it to convert DVR-MS files? I do all my editing/conversions on my dual processor workstation XP Pro SP2 machine. I installed it on that machine and tried to load the DVR-MS file. All I get is a green screen and no audio. I am able to play it on WMP 9 but it won't work in TMPGEnc Xpress.
Pegasys' website says it does support DVR-MS, so I must be doing something wrong. I need some help, thanks.

There should be a radio button on the program that allows you to go into a "Source Wizard"
In the source wizard the third option allows you to convert a DVR-MS file into mpeg1 or 2. TMPEGEnc can not work with DVR-MS files, but it can convert it to file like mpeg1 or mpeg2 so that you are then able to edit the source file.
Hope this helps.
