help with daytek dvr-p30

i have a daytek that it was bougth in june 04 and worked realy well with the 2960 code to set region free and macrovision free , but the tray later on had a prob and i send it to daytek to repair , when it came it only came with the region free and no macrovision i read that lord smurf helped a guy with the upgrade from lition , i tried and the only thing that the player says is data cd , can anyone welp me with this

did you put it in dvd mode? meaning not putting on any input mode

yes i pluged my dvd and put it inside the cd-r with the file gave it to me from lition but the one said in the other post they talk about the file lnea 1163 and the one that comes from lition and that i have is the lnea 1176 and i`m confused

Sorry hummer, if your recorder has version 1176 of the firmware on it you're screwed. Starting with 1176 the firmware won't let you go back to earlier firmware versions, or (if I understand it right) even reinstall the same version again. You must wait until a newer version comes out and then hack it before installing it, you only get one shot at it. I think the latest version for your recorder might be 1180, but I'm not sure.

Well my prob is that when i put the cd on the tray and it starts reading the only thing that it says is ``data `` nothing else , i touche the remote keys and nothing it just says data ,

I'm not willing to make my machine 1176 to experiment, but somebody already on 1176 trying downgrade should give this a try.

well nothing seems to work i tried even the link u gave me lord but it stays everthing in the same , problably also and i do belive so i`m making mistakes . i`m gonna explain ,
1 - Does the SN number have to be the one from my machine or the one that i saw here on this site 010143-1141-F2S8 ???
2 - when downloading the file it says its a win RAR application , and also on the site from lition it says that u have to open the file and transfer to a cd and to give to the cd the name Mediatek , well i tried to extract the file from the win rar and send it to the cd it dosent work
3 - The haked files that i saw on the link from lordsmurf do they need to be burned one by one on a different cd or they all can go on the same cd ???
4 - inside the machine i opened and its exactly the same model lition

So if anybody can help me with this just please let me know what should i do step by step . i already though that DAYTEK hacked the machine LOL

PS: the only to good things that came out afther the machine was repaired it`s that i still have reagion free and the recorder makes less noise that it did before like nigth and day

Unzipped data files, one per disc. Use a RW.

Well thanks lordsmurf i think that i`m getting somewhere, last nigth afther i put my post and went home i unpluged my machine and guess what it was not the same machine that a send to daytek to be repaired , what they did they changed everything my first one said on the back "manufactured january 2004 and this new one says august 2004 and i went to check the old post about the daytek models and theres this guy is "name " is electrical and he have the same machine that i do and also the same SN number , and he also donwloaded the 1163 .
is there any way to get the 1163 file , because lition now only have the 1176 , is there anyone out there who have the 1163 file in cd ????

well i dident it still says file or data disc , i think i`m making some mistakes , like extracting the files from zip to cd , when i open the zip from the link gave by lordsmurf , i open the file afther donwload and it shows me 2 files , files that my win xp dosent recognize , i try to extract the files to my cd drive and it says thats a error , so e send it to my doc and then just do send to : cd and goes normal but on the dvd zip nothing nada , should i copy the files with a burning prog like nero or does it work by sending to D: and copy files like we do with pictures or videos ???????
