  1. I'm encoding an xvid using CCE. I'm attempting to output to half D1 PAL 16:9 as DVDLab only accepts 16:9 or 4:3 as DVD standard, trouble is after encoding as 16:9 using CCE DVDLab still shows the file as encoded as 2:21.1.

    Input file specs -

    XviD

    Ratio - 608x272 (2.24:1) [=38:17]

How do I get a 16:9 output from CCE ?

  2. dvd specs:
16:9 will only be allowed for 720 x 480/576 dvd compliant mpeg2 files.

for half-d1 sizes, the only valid AR is 4:3

You couldn't ellaborate here a little could you ? I had to ditch CCE in favour of TMPGenc as the settings of 4:3 or 16:9 or 1:1 all gave me the same error of the source being 2:21.1, whereas TMPGenc gave me a 4:3 file straight away.

What resize setting should I use when I frameserve using Vdub and why should I resize the avi ?
