anyonen have any info on a sequel to Spaceballs? i was at Blockbuster last night and they have this new section called "see the original before the sequel" or something like that. but they had the first XXX, some of the early star wars, the first bridget jones diary. but then at the bottom i noticed there was a few copies of spaceballs. i asked the guy who worked there, and he said that they heard there was going to be a second one. i havent heard anything about this.

I have read that either Mel Brooks is doing a sequel that will be out in the 2006/2007 time frame. Or it might become an animated TV Series.

Spaceballs 2 is definitely going to be made. They are currently also working on an animated tv series but it may or may not ever be released. The SE Spaceballs DVD was also released this month.

Up to a few years ago, I used to "dream" for a sequal, but finally gave
    it up.

It's about time they (Mel) is still up for it, specially after 17 ? years.
I know I can't wait. I don't have the vhs, but I do have the DVD

I hope that all the cast members will be there and take there rightful
place (except for J.Candy - may he rest in piece) ..I don't know who
could ever replace him. ( Wasn't he the wokee? ) anyways.. thanks for
    the update.
