burning prob with sony dwd22a

i used to burn discs with my sony 500a using dvd decryptor fine but having upgraded to a sony dwd22a dvd decryptor just write faaails every disc now ,i have upgraded to the latest version but still the prob continues,are there any known issues with this drive or could any one please offer a solution

If you don't mind voiding your warranty, you may want to try flashing the BS41 firmware to your drive and see how it works out. The BYS1 firmware on your drive is pretty outdated.

i'm having the same problem with my burner. i use the Sony DW-D22A and when i burn an audio cd and i have to close nero and reboot my computer just to get the cd out. it burns good tho, the damn burner just seems awful to me. do i need to update something?

the person from ebay i bought this from said he will take it back and test it. If there is anything wrong they will send it back to sony, but would anyone of you take the time and send it back, which will probably take awhile, but would YOU?
