    Do you know if we can burn a small film on a CD-R with the DVD-lab? Some people call, mini-DVDs, not because its burned on a small media, but on a CD-R.

    not many standalone dvd players will play miniDVD's (i.e. VERY few will play them). Check your model at the DVD Players link found on the left...

    I happen to have a portable dvd player that plays miniDVD's

    It's a cheap "Initial" brand with only a 5" screen. But it has video-out, and so I can connect it to my tv...

    It will only play miniDVD's smoothly up to about 4000kbps with either mpeg or AC3 audio (it stutters when the combined video+audio bitrate goes above 4200kbps).
