  1. Hi folks,

I'm new to these forums and I have searched for an answer to my question, so I apologize in advance if it has been asked before.

Is there anyway to disable what appears to be the default bit rate for dvds I record on this recorder? Specifically, in a different recorder I had (Cyberhome), if I recorded in SP mode, the finalized dvd would have clip infomation in TMPGENC DVD Author as 4400kbps. But now, no matter what setting I select, the bit rate is reported to be 9800kbps. So now if I want to author with new lpcm audio, I am screwed because the final bit rate reports as being too high.

    TIA for any help.

  2. I found the answer to my question. I took the dvd that I burned at HQ, which would normally be approximately 8000kbps bit rate, and used tmpgenc dvd author to copy it my hd, then I use tmpgenc mpeg editor to demultiplex to an m2v stream, then I used restream to change the reported bit rate from 9800kbps to 8000kbps. Now I can author without tmpgenc dvd author reporting an error.

    Cheers, Matt
