Gspot says it is a 4cc: SIPR with an audio path (S) --> RealMedia Splitter --> RealAudio Decoder --> (R)
Its thumbnail is just a simple 'file' icon and I have to copy and paste it to Realplayer if I want to play it, if I try to double click it I have to then 'select the player program from the list' if I want to play it
What is this file type? and how can I convert it to another audio type, preferably one that can be used on a vcd/svcd/dvd?
Cheers

It could be a Read lMedia audio. Try to put the ext as .ra or .ram and see if it opens properly in Real Media Player.
When I was born I was so shocked that I could'nt speak for 18 months.
