    I got some avi files which are in HDTV (stretched out) visual appearance.

    I want to convert these files to regular avi/mpeg files, without the video being stretched out.

    How can i do this and what tool can I use?

    Virtualdub, resize. And save as a new avi divx,xvid or whatever it is.

    Or use a video player where you can change the aspect ratio manually like zoom player.
