Hey everyone, i currently use Adobe Premiere Pro 7.0, and i downloaded a trial version of Adobe After Effects, and at first i thought the programs were integrated, but now each program is its own :S, i didn't know that. Oh well, well i put in a video to key it, but when i use the keylight filter, i can see alot of multicolored dots :S is this because the filter keylight is also a demo, or is it because i haven't done something right?

  2. Can you post a screenshot? I don't think that the trial version of AE 6.x comes with the Keylight filter (I might be wrong). But, if you can't get that to work, use the other keying filters that are available.

  4. Why do you have 2 keylight filters? Was this footage shot on an even green background?

Look for the keying tutorial on the Xtreme site.

I don't know why you are seeing all those dots. It might be due to the trial version. I use the Keylight filter a lot and have never seen those dots.

When you say that it might be due to the trial version, you mean AE, or the filter itself? Do you have the original Keylight filter?

  9. Yes. I have the original version of Keylight, that came on my AE 6.5 pro disc.

What I meant was, do you have the trial version of the filter?

Well the truth is i downloaded the AE 6.5 Demo from the Adobe Website, and i also downloaded a demo of the keylight filter from the foundry website. is there anyway you might be able to help me get rid of the green. What i have done, is import my captured DV video into virtual dub, and i have applied some smooth filters, so the green can all comingle together, and i figured that would make it alot easier, and it helped, but theres still somethings wrong :S like it isn't completly green free you know. Might you be able to help me?

  11. There is a good chance that the demo version of KeyLight is creating the artifacts.

Take a look at the keying tutorial from at http://www.xtreme-is-back.com
