  1. Hi there,

I am converting video for a few years now but i have encountered a problem. I did by me an D-Link DSM-320 mediacenter and it works fine most of the time. Now here it comes, some files run perfect on this machine and others don't, I tryed several different way's to reencode these files but ... still i keep getting asinc files, the sound starts of fine and after a few seconds the sound starts to desinc, if then i stop, rewind (just a little) and play the file the sound starts of fine and after a few seconds the sound starts to desinc, I don't seem to find whi this is, these files play perfect on my computer, is there somone out there who could help me out ? I am now using Xvid codec (tryed divx 5.2) and virtualdub. Sound is reencoded with lame to mp3

Tnx 4 your help, it's appriciated

    Madns

  2. I just bought a DSM-320 as well. I am trying to learn what I need to know to encode xvid files. The manual for the DSM-320 states that xvid files need "mp3 with pcm" What exactly does this mean. I understand that the audio stream gets converted to mp3 but what is the pcm part?

I have used simpledivx in the past but don't see any options for "mp3 with pcm" . Does anyone know if this is possible with simpleDivx? If not what would be the best method of creating xvid files for the DSM-320?

    Thanks very much.
