After trying to overclock my graphics card using using nvidia's own system utlility software, i now have no display at all on my monitor.

At first, after applying the changes it just froze. When i rebooted, i had no display. I can reset the cmos by taking out the battery. this allows me to enter the bios and system utility, but i am lost after that.

Can anyone give me any advice. I would be exteremely grateful for a solution.

Just please don't tell me that i have ruined the card.

  2. Well, I can tell you- you have voided the warranty.

But tell me this- Nvidia has a bios level system utility for their cards? Or do you have an Nvidia Motherboard that has a utility in the bios? I've never used an Nvidia board. Or are you hoping to restore function to your card by bios defaults?

    Hello, thanx for the reply.

  5. AH, sounds like you have a Gigabyte vid card with a Nvidia chip. Gigabyte includes overclocking utilities w/ their main boards too- didn't think there were any bios embedded utilities.
If you can't get display in safe mode then.........
I've got a 256mb XFX Geforce 5600 sitting on my shelf i don;t use anymore!
