Well I was thinking about recording an Xbox game while my friends and I play. However, I have never used the 6 hour mode of the DVD recorder. So for a video game thats connected through the AV inputs on the recorder, how do you think it will look in 6 hour mode. It doesnt have to look picture perfect, but Id like it to look decent.
1) Like for instance Im hoping it will be like this:
http://www.putfile.com/media.php?n=Rippin%20em%20Up%20Halo%202
2) And not something like this thats pixelated:
http://www.putfile.com/media.php?n=Halo2%20Arnolds
3) This would be perfect, I doubt Ill get this in 6hr mode though:
http://www.putfile.com/media.php?n=Rippin%20em%20Up%20Halo%202%20v5%20-%202
So what kind of quality do you think Ill get from the above choices and if you dont think Ill at least get either the first video or third videos quality do you think Ill be able to get either of the 2 in 4 hour mode. I just dont want to get that crap ass pixelated outcome like that one above 2) demo. So what do you think thanks.
Tim
(Edited): Well now that I look at it, the first two videos almost look the same, so do you think Ill get the kind of quality in the 3rd video and if not could you give me a link of a video that youve seen which you think would have the same kind of quality in 6hr mode so I have an idea. Thanks.

Just use the included DVD-RW and record 5 minutes of video and see if you're satisfied with the results.

Thats right, I forgot they gave me a RW with the Recorder. Ill test it out. However, can I record in all 4 different modes like SP EP LP all on the same disc for like 5 minutes. Or do I have to erase the 5 minute segment each time I try to record a different speed, because the disc gets set on the original setting it started recording on?

You can record at all 4 settings, all 32 MN settings for that matter, on the same disc. Just a note to remember: When recording in Video mode, resolution is 720x480 up to MN19/2hr 20min, 352x480 up to 4hr 30min, and 352x240 from 4hr 40min to 6hr. Take that for what it's worth.
