Hello,
So now that blu-ray/hd-dvd discs are starting to be produced along with recorders (scarce and expensive), what other "next gen" tech toy is on your wish list???? Is it even in the plans yet or is it some far off gadget you'd love to have now????

One thing I want is to build a home theatre. Right now projectors have really dropped in price and are a worthwhile alternative to a big screen tv. When comparing features in moderately priced units there is still no clear winner. Some accept more formats, some have better brightness and contrast, others are quieter running and still others offer better keystone adjustment for placement etc...
When the next generation units are out I'll probably go for it. just today I saw an ad for a unit that has 1024 x 768 native resolution with good brightness and contrast and priced at only $1100 can. That would have been about 2 grand just a year ago. That's a very good price point if it accepts dvi and hd inputs as well as the standard svideo, component and composite. I'll have to look the ad more closely. Anyway that's the toy I've got my sight set on within the next year or so. -
I got a chance to use a Canon 1D Mark II today...
