  2. When blockbuster had creditors call me about late charges I did the same thing my friend did. I tore up the card and stopped renting movies from them. I have yet to have the same problem with Hollywood video. They never harassed me for late fees.

Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox said the $630,000 award would cover the states' attorney fees, costs of investigation and consumer protection.
Did you notice that NO consumers are actually getting a refund/reimbursement, only the lawyers.

Of course this would all be a mute point if people were more responsible and returned the items.

  5. Blockbuster will also refund customers who claim they were misled and charged restocking fees or the full price of rented movies if they were returned a week after the due date, according to a statement from Pennsylvania Attorney General Tom Corbett.
Read it again.. it also says that customers will get a refund if they were charged restocking fees or the full price of rented movies...... This is in ADDITION to the $630,000 settlement that pays the lawyers.

I wondered why my Blockbuster late fees suddenly disappeared from the radar.

Yeah, but I bet those "refund settlement requests" will be just as convoluted and delayed as some of the hoops you have to jump through for rebates.
