When blockbuster had creditors call me about late charges I did the same thing my friend did. I tore up the card and stopped renting movies from them. I have yet to have the same problem with Hollywood video. They never harassed me for late fees.

Of course this would all be a mute point if people were more responsible and returned the items.

Blockbuster will also refund customers who claim they were misled and charged restocking fees or the full price of rented movies if they were returned a week after the due date, according to a statement from Pennsylvania Attorney General Tom Corbett.

Yeah, but I bet those "refund settlement requests" will be just as convoluted and delayed as some of the hoops you have to jump through for rebates.

HV video is giving out free rentals & you can apply for them on their website if you ever paid late fees.
