  1. RC7 has numerous bugs, some of them continued from earlier versions, others new. Note, I am using program streams that are mpeg1 with 48 KHz audio sample rate, never using other formats. I cannott use this version, so have downgraded to RC6 until a final version is released.

    1. If menu text format is changed at beginning of project, the first title remains in the saved format, requiring adjustment later, very irritating. Old issue.

    2. Movies over about 3 hours in length are not encoded properly, making the player controls non-functional. Maybe old issue.

    3. Video format not compatable with all players, latter boxing effect on some. Old issue.

    4. Frequent freezing and crashing while creating title sets with confusing error messages concerning file naming issues. New issue. Fixed by rebooting computer usually.

    5. Frequent crashing during title set creation unless project assetts are kept below about 3.5 GB in size as measured by windoze explorer. Old issue.

    6. Size issues. Wrong sizes reported, size larger than reported. Work around by external control. Old issue.

    7. No way to recover and continue after errors are reported, which is very often. Old issue.

    Requests:

Way to bring intermediate files into already saved project, to avoid redoing all over again.

Initiallize with no values (blanks) in the title name and title button fields to avoid backspacing over and over again.

  2. I too have had various problems converting both Avi and Divx through the new RC7.

Everytime I try to convert any Avi or Divx my system crashes or freezes giving me certain error messages.

I have complete faith in converting Bin/Que and mpeg files but not the latter.

Can you Chrissyboy take a look at this issue and see if can be resolved as SVCD2DVD is generally a great programe as long as your not converting Avi or Divx on it.

  3. Continuation of RC7 bugs...

    8. DVD is not burned properly at end of authoring process about 1/3 of the time, creating coasters. All created DVD's that are compliant burn properly with Nero 6, but not through VCD2DVD on my machine. I think this is an old issue, but went away using RC6 with my setup.

Same here. This program runs as smooth as silk. All the bitching is probably user error anyway.

  7. The main trouble with RC7 on my machine is that you can only run it a single time without rebooting the PC. Rebooting after each use is my work around for RC7, now there is RC8 already.

I would wildly guess my problems are centered upon my use of win98, rather than more personal issues.
