I recently tried to upgrade the firmware on my DP-508 and I keep getting an error message that my player has to be 'PowerCycled' before I can install the firmware. What the hell is going on? (Note: I was using the official firware from the Kiss site and everything).
Thanks for any replies 8)

To "cycle the power" is techno-jargon for shutting the receiver off (at the plug level, not just standby) and turning it back on. The best way to do this is to pull the plug from the wall for ~ 15 seconds, and plug it back in. The power is now cycled. If that was the only problem you should now be able to install the firmware. Check the instructions related to your specific firmware to determine what you must do on the player to install firmware.
