  1. Hey everyone,

    Got a strange problem here.

    I bought my copy of Finding Neverland and I would like to back it up. The problem is I cant use dvd shrink to shrink it down. About 55% of the way through, my computer reboots. I tried shrinking 3 other random dvds and this doesnt happen. So I assume its something with the dvd itself. Is that assumption correct?

    Let me know what ya think.

    LG

  2. Try using DVD Decrypter (latest version) first. Then use DVD Shrink.

    I purchased Finding Neverland on the day of its release. I was able to make a backup copy just fine, and I am using an ancient PC compared to the rest of you

    That would seem like a logical way to go. You could also try Intervideo WinDVDCopy. Sometimes it works where other fail

    Despite the fact you nick makes me sick, here's what I do...
    1.Use DVD Decrypter (best applic. I've ever seen)...;
    2.Open the folder with DVD Shrink>Choose Re-Author>Backup.
    3.Open the folder with your applc (such as Sony DVDArchitect, etc...) and burn your DVD or use Clone DVD to do the job for ya (in this case, you've got to have some more room since Clone DVD is going to copy that folder once more, even though deleting it after the end of the process.)

  6. I did actually get it ripped with Decrypter but havent tried shrink yet. So I didnt want to post anything on that before I had results.

    My question was more, giving the problem mentioned before, can I assume its the dvd vs. shrink interaction or is it a computer and/or hardware problem?

    As i stated, I successfully backed the disc up with no hitch or glitch, no fancy hardware, and no dvd decryptor.. only used shrink and worked perfectly maybe fingerprints on the disc?
    Please report back when you have the results of trying to shrink with the ripped data.
