  1. When I use DVD Decrpter to erase my -RWs I get this:

    DeviceIoControl(FSCTL_LOCK_VOLUME) Failed!
    Device[1:1:0] PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-104 1.41 (F (ATA)
Unable to unlock volume for exclusive access.
    Reason: Incorrect Funtion

Any ideas how to fix this? I did do a search and found someone with the same question but no answer. I have no other programs running using that drive. Thanks for any help.

Can you erase your RW discs with any other programs (like Nero) or no?

  3. When I try Nero it says it is completed but always fails when I burn. I think I found the error, I have firmware 1.41 on there which I am now reading is terrible with the -RWs. So I found a website that says it can help me downgrade back to 1.20 or 1.30 but thats only if you have updated to version 1.40. I don't know if you can do it for version 1.41. Thanks for the help so for and thanks for anymore.

Ensure that you have no media players / DVD players etc loaded in the TASK BAR.....as this can cause problems with DVDDecrypter (as it wants exclusive access to the DVD/r drive and NOT shared access).....or at least thats what solves my problem with DVDDe when I get a 'exclusive access' nag.

  5. THIS solution turned out to be so true. it really saved a lot of work for me. but heres the thing- it was shutting my BROWSER that made it work. like probably some of you, i installed a media player as an extension to foxfire. im assuming that THAT was the issue.
as always, im very appreciative of this board
