  1. I'm finally ready to complete a DVD-9 and need advise on which SCSI card and DLT drive to get. I'm running a Dual 1.25 G4 and DVDSP 3.

    Thanks in Advance--

Atto might be good card, it's also used by Apple. Adaptec seems to have poor Mac support. Initio would be another good card.

most DLTs are made by quantum (HP, Sun, IBM, compaq and others) ... I used SUN and Compaq units mostly.

DLT 7000 and 8000 are the most compatable and cheap(er) now.

you can also rent them for a day or week in most large cities ..

for dvd-9 use only , a DLT 4000 is all you need .. you will need two tapes ...

for the mac - the atto i know works. which one depends on the model of DLT you get.
