I once beat a guy on some books by 50 cents but I think
the one I just did, with 5 seconds to spare, is the best.
I was on dialup speeds too - not broadband
Cripes Ebay can be addictive!! :/

my trick is to open a few windows and then bid in the last 10 secs. This way you can keep refreshing the price while having your submit button at the ready
If I really want something but don't want to put in a high price then I keep another window open. In there I will put my highest price with a few extra % or so. This comes in handy when someone beats your highest bid with their highest bid so I win
you can also check out the page views to see if anyone else is lurking about in the last few minutes
most people bid with £xx.01 to beat the £xx.00 bids but that's too obvious. I stick in something like £xx.13
I normally get what I want unless some muppet bids OTT and spoils all the fun -
dont really use Ebay much now. Noticed some items go for higher price than what its really worth. ive even seen some used items go for a higher price than its original price brand new.
I remember trying to buy a set of speakers, (the Creative Megaworks 650D) when they first came out. Though the person selling them on ebay has several and brand new ones, they were bids at the region of £300, though creative were selling them at £260 and can be bought from stores at £200-£220. -

my favorite thing to do is bid a few cents above the next incriment..
for example if an item was $1.00, and the next incriment was $1.50, i would bid $1.59.. so if the next bidder bid $1.50 my bid would be higher by 9 cents. :P
p.s. - nice looking camera, never heard of Conwa brand though.. is it aussie only or a rebadge? -
I think it's Chinese. No idea if it is any good or not. I'll post a review because if it is good, the price is a bargain.
It's only 3MP and uses cmos... so we shall see. -
Snipe ? Explain snipe.
Coffee makes you happy.....Except when it messes you up -
