    hello everyone,
i am having a very difficult time with compressing folders on my computer. i right click a folder and i click SEND TO .zip FOLDER. everythings ok, until i check the properties of the folders and i realized ive only saved like 3 KBs or something like that. can anybody help me so that i can compress large files into exceptionally smaller ones?

Try WinRAR. It may be a little more efficient. Of course your compression amount depends on your source. Some files are already compressed and won't go much further. (Such as video files)

  4. AVI is a container format and can contain various kind of videos. Chances are you got Xvid, Divx, or something similar which is already compressed and won't get much smaller by zipping.

Same goes for MP3 files. The .ZIP is 1% smaller than the .MP3.

you should be happy! the file is as small as possible! otherwise it would have taken you 10x as long to download that movie
