  2. I seem to have a small problem using pictures in place of button text. The error only happens when trying to use movie posters. Here is my error message.

    See the end of this message for details on invoking
    just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
    To enable just in time (JIT) debugging, the config file for this
    application or machine (machine.config) must have the
    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
    The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>

    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine
    rather than being handled by this dialog.

    Thanks in advance.

    camera icon: is disabled in this release. It is to grab frames from your assets but it is a bit temperamental at the moment so I disabled it. No background ship with these RC builds…. You can download them from the website.

  10. Well Done Chrissyboy!, This version is the best yet, The AVI encoding quality seems much better, It still seems to struggle a little with dark scenes, with blacks appearing with slightly blocky with a greenish tint. Still damn good for the money tho.

  11. Just made a few dvds 2 moves per dvd

    with background /menu jpegs/ music

    works ok
    but noticed that the encodeing menu gets stuck on 56.5% all the time but after a min or two the svcd2dvd alert pops up saying 100% complete

    and everything is fine

  12. AVI sample uploaded to ftp in folder "bransholmeAVI" for you to look at chrissyboy. Please ignore the sound being out of sync as I quickly cut a short section with virtualdub and the original source had vbr mp3 audio, I have authored the sample too and included all logs.
    On a computer screen you cannot really see the pixellation and green tint, it is also fine on my kids 14in TV, but it is clear to see on a larger screen TV. It often seems like artifacts leftover from the previous scene.

    Hi,

    I have stated elsewhere that this will be included (unless there is a technical issue) in a version after 2.0 is finally released. i.e v2.1 or thereabouts. FYI, other new features are batch processing, subtitles, motion menus...

  17. Nice 1 Crissy m8, Top Job as always

    May I ask a couple off Question about future releases

    On the menu bit, can we have Sub Menus IE you click the pic for the film and then a Sub menu will open, this way we can put in detail about the film, Release, rating ect and then can play from there.

    Also a selectable end size instead of the default 4.37GB as this burns almost upto the edge of the disc and may cause problem, if we had it down to say 4.3GB we can also add covers to the disc??

    Also maybe an option to pause the process for whatever reason and then continue again

    Please bear in mind I know nothing about the ins and outs off this software and if I talk Cr@p please excuse me

    Regards

    GAS

    If you want to cut an avi with vbr mp3 audio then use virtualdub-mp3-freeze. It keeps the audio synced.

    bransholme: I have looked at the sample you sent. I can process it without the issues you mention but it may have knock on effects with size estimation... would you like to try the fix? Email me if so.

  21. No sooner have I test RC6 then I see RC7 is posted already.

    RC6 is a GREAT improvement over RC5 for me. My already correctly sampled 48 KHz mpeg-1's are now processed almost twice as fast. Thanks so much for this improvement. I don't remember seeing the "do not process if already 48KHz checkbox before, but I could be wrong.

    No more unstability on my maching, no more crashing.

    Two issues remain minor problems.

    1. One of my DVD players (apex) plays the DVD's with a squeezed vertical size. There is a small letterbox effect, with black areas about 1/8 the the screen height top and bottom. DVD Lab Pro does not create files with this effect. I can zoom in for this player, but then lose a little on the horizontal, and there is a small distortion.

    2. Menues occasionally don't work properly occasionally, requiring rebooting the DVD players.

    I'm now using mostly newly created files that are recorded in an mpeg-1 DVD complaint mode, with video sampling at 1 MBPS. This lets me put four or five movies on each DVD, a great savings.

    Thanks Crissyboy, great job.
