ILO DVDR04 locked up with STOPPING and flashing S7OP

I am transferring 8mm tape to DVD. WHen I press stop after the tape is finished, someitmes the TV OSD will display "STOPPING" and the unit's front panel will display a flashing "S7OP" forever. The unit locks up. The only way to get out of this is unplug the power and plug the power in again. After that, the DVD+R becomes an "INVALID DISC".
I did a lot experiment with this issue and found that if I transfer 8mm tape with a lot of jitters between scenes, it will locked up the unit doesn't matter what brand of DVD+R I used if I am recording using the 2 hour SP mode. However, if I try to transfer the same 8mm tape to any barnd of DVD+R in 3 hour LP mode, it works every time. SO, it makes me believe that it has to do with the logic of the ILO DVDR04 that it is not fast enough to keep up with the 2 hour mode which requied to pack more data especially if you have jitter (a lot of changes from screen to screen). This is a serious drawback I see with the ILO. Anyway, I have to settle with 3 hour LP mode for now.
I wonder if anybody running in the same problem. If so, the LP mode is one work around unless ILO can fix this problem with the unit.

My dad's Cyberhome had the same problem with 1 hour mode.
